Roll Baby Roll

September is Infant Mortality Awareness Month and to support awareness efforts Healthy Start is co-hosting EveryStep’s 2nd annual Roll Baby Roll – Walking to Bring Awareness to Infant Mortality .  We encourage families and anyone interested to join us on Wednesday, September 27th.  It’s a one-mile round trip walk to the Iowa State Capitol grounds.  Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers can join us too – don’t forget your stroller.  Community resources, education and baby supplies will be offered throughout the event.  After the walk will be a free meal and prize drawings for gift cards and baby items.  The event flyer is attached and below is some information about infant mortality.  Please share this email with your contacts to get the word out and consider joining us for this special event.  In the event of rain, the event will still take place without the walk.
